How deep is this basket and will it fit such that it inserts into a 5 gallon bucket and the top ring rests on the top of the 5 gallon bucket. Thx!

The basket is 7 inches deep and the top ring rests on most standard 5 gallon buckets. We just tried one on a 5 gallon bucket here and it fit well, so you should be all good.
