What IS Surge Plus?

Surge Plus is a new product we just launched. It is a multi blended powder additive suitable for soil and coco.

Can it be used in hydroponics?

We don’t recommend the use of Surge Plus in hydroponics. As Surge Plus is a powdered additive, it is possible for it to gum up in the lines. While it is entirely possible for use with hydroponics, we don’t recommend it as it could result in clogging of your system and excess cleaning.

Further, Surge Plus contains Humic Acid. Humic Acid is recommended for use only in soil and coco as it takes time to break down to become bioavailable to the plant.

Can Surge Plus be used in an autopot system?

Similar to hydroponics, we don’t recommend the use of Surge Plus in an autopot system. It is possible Surge could clog your system and result in excess cleaning. 

Can I use Surge Plus with other soilless mediums like peat moss?

Yes! Surge Plus is appropriate for use in soil, coco, and other soilless mediums.

What are the benefits of Surge Plus?

Surge Plus contains ingredients that offer numerous benefits. 

Vitamin B1 has been shown to significantly increase crop yields and encourage healthy and vigorous growth. B1 assists the plant in rooting, growing, and flowering which helps to keep plants stress free! 

Humic acid chelates nutrients like magnesium, calcium, and iron by providing natural carrier compounds to bring growth enhancing nutrients and vitamins to your plant. Humic acid stimulates root and enzymatic function and assists in the more efficient utilization of nutrients and vitamins. 

Surge Plus is also enriched with sea kelp which is renowned for its many benefits, including stress relief and increased amino acid and protein activity. Amino acids are the base components of protein. Supplementing with them will allow the plant to bypass their synthesis and put those resources elsewhere. Surge Plus has added amino acids to help your plant to create energy and transport nutrients.  Amino acids help to increase chlorophyll production and are a source of nitrogen the plant can easily take in. Extra carbohydrates provide an energy boost to your plant during flowering to enhance yields. 

Molasses helps to feed the microorganisms living in your soil by providing key minerals and vitamins. Molasses has numerous benefits for your soil like preventing salt build-up and nutrient deficiencies!

What are the ingredients in Surge Plus?

Surge Plus contains molasses, amino acids, Vitamin B1, Humic Acid, carbohydrates, and sea kelp.

Does Surge Plus contain living ingredients?

Surge Plus does NOT contain living ingredients. There are no beneficial bacteria / microbes present. 

How much is Surge Plus?

The 350g size of Surge Plus is $94.99

That seems expensive?

Because Surge Plus is highly concentrated, it is very economical. You will only be using 1-2 grams per liter per feeding.

What sizes is Surge Plus offered in?

We offer Surge Plus in 350g, 1.5kg, 5kg, and 10kg.

Can I use Surge Plus with Holland Secret?

Yes! Surge Plus is compatible with all Future Harvest nutrients and additives. Just watch out for the ingredients! Other additives like Super B+ and Royal Black contain some of the same ingredients as Surge Plus.

Can I use Surge Plus as a foliar spray?

As Surge Plus is highly concentrated we don’t recommend it for use as a foliar spray. 

Is Surge Plus organic?

It is not an organic additive. 

Why not?

Most organic regulatory bodies have strict standards . Why we try to use natural plant and mineral based ingredients, the preservatives present in Surge Plus are not considered to be organic.

What nutrients do you recommend to use with Surge Plus?

While Surge Plus is compatible with our entire line, it was designed to work well with our powders. We recommend using Surge Plus with our base nutrients Easy Grow+ and Easy Bloom+ and our powdered additives Carbo Blast, Bud Start, Ton O Bud, and Bud Boom.
